THE CHALLENGE 

Economic development organizations publish annual reports in order to inform stakeholders, site selectors, legislators, and the general public of significant wins, statewide successes, and ongoing initiatives bettering the local economy. 

LED needed to showcase high volumes of content from statewide business expansions to rural revitalization efforts. While producing a classic printed-and-bound report was a given, our goal was to reimagine how this information could be shared in an innovative, uncommon, and easily digestible way.

OUR APPROACH 

To challenge a traditional medium by bringing the annual report to life through an engaging, easily shareable website equipped with interactive and dynamic UX design.  

Flipping through pages of a report can feel both daunting and time consuming. By creating a custom website for the annual report in addition to the printed book, not only can viewers easily self-select the content most useful to them via the site navigation, but LED can distribute the report far and wide without incurring additional printing and shipping costs.

By removing any expectations of what a typical annual report “should” be, we were able to think bigger and execute from a mindset of what could be instead.
